Joe Harold Ford, 75, employee of Oakes & Nicholsé and retired Home Beneficial Insurance agent, died Tuesday, July 15, 2008 at Maury Regional Hospital.Funeral services will conducted at 2:00 P.M. Thursday at Oakes & Nichols with Rev. S. Army.é After his retirement with Home Beneficial Insurance Company, Mr. Ford was employed for several years at Columbia Camper and more recently at Oakes & Nichols. He was a charter member of West End Baptist Church, where he served as Deacon and was a member of the Berean Sunday School Class.é He was a Kentucky Colonel, a Tennessee Squire andé member of Columbia Masonic Lodge #31, Herbert Griffin American Legion Post 19 and their flag detail, and charter member of Dimple of the Universe Camping Club.éSurvivors include his wife of fifty-three years, Ruth Sparkman Ford; son, Mike (Lojune) Ford; grandchildren, Joey (Melody) Ford; Jimmy Ford and his fiancée Carmen Lunn;Jill Ford and her fiancé Caleb Benefield; Tai (Brad) Tebben; Kei (Brent) Keene; great grandchild, Kayden Tebben of; adopted grandchild, Heidi Angeles; sisters-in-law, Kathleen Ford and Ann Ford; and several nieces and nephews.éHe was preceded in death by a son, Jeff Ford;é sister, Geneva Wieneke; andé brothers, Grover Ford, H. E. Ford, and Wilford Ford.éActive pallbearers will be Bill Chaffin, Walter Hurt, and staff of Oakes & Nichols.é Honorary pallbearers include members of Berean Sunday School Class and Deacons of West End Baptist Church, past and present members of The Dimple of the Universe Camping Club, Trula and Knox Surles, Dr. & Mrs. Ben Gardner, and Dr. Lucy Ledbetter.
