Mr. Joe E. Worrell Mr. Joe E. Worrell, 72, retired from the U. S. Navy with 20 years service and hotel/motel manager, died Wednesday, November 9, 2005 at his residence on Danbury Drive. Funeral services will be conducted Saturday at 10:00 a.m. at Oakes & Nichols with Rev. Charles Blythe officiating. Burial will be in the Polk Memorial Gardens with military honors provided by Herbert Griffin American Legion Post #19. A native of Glenwood, Alabama, he was the son of the late Cleveland Leo Worrell and Eula Lester Worrell. He is survived by his wife, Billie Edwards Worrell of Columbia; a son, Randy Worrell of Nashville; a granddaughter, Allison Worrell of Knoxville; a sister, Karin (Joe) Lawrence of Cairo, Georgia; and several nieces and nephews. Pallbearers are Mike Webster, Eric Hurley, Dave Johnson, Tony Edwards, Bob Farmer and Rick Webster.
