John Barrington Ferguson

John Barrington Ferguson, 72, self-employed contractor, died Thursday, March 11, 2021 at Maury Regional Medical Center. A graveside service with military honors will be conducted at a later date at Middle Tennessee State Veterans Cemetery in Pegram. Born January 9, 1949 in Athens, Tennessee to the late John Clinton Ferguson and the late Lillian Virginia Deal Ferguson Bailey. He served in the United States Marine Corps for many years. In October 1996, he married Delores Ann Butler Ferguson. Mr. Ferguson loved to fish, loved the Marine Corps and was a member of the Baptist faith. Survivors include his wife, Delores of Columbia; son, Barry (Allison) Ferguson of Texas; stepsons, James (Tally) Cole of Culleoka; Jason (Laurie) Cole of Columbia; and 13 grandchildren.
