MR. JOHN FOX Mr. John F. Fox, 65, retired manager of transportation at Union Carbide and resident of Osborne Road, died Tuesday, July 22, 2003 at Maury Regional Hospital in Columbia, Tennessee. Funeral services will be conducted at 10:00 A.M., Friday, at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home with Father Patrick Conner officiating. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery in Columbia. The family will visit with friends Thursday from 4:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Notes of sympathy may be sent to the family at www.oakesandnichols.com. The Erie County, New York native was the son of Anna Wagner Fox of Buffalo, New York and the late Edward V. Fox. He was a graduate of Canisius College in Buffalo, and was a member of Graymere Country Club in Columbia. He was a forty year employee of Union Carbide. He was a member of the Catholic Church. Survivors include his wife of forty-three years, Diane Donaldson Fox of Columbia; son, Paul (Susan) Fox of Mentor, Ohio; daughter, Linda Fox of Charlotte, North Carolina; brother, Bud (Carol) Fox of Buffalo, New York; four grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be Harvey McCulley, Tom Mirabito, Vance Sonnenberg, Willie Pewitt, Chip Taylor and Johnny Bratton. Honorary pallbearers are current and past employees of Union Carbide and members of the Men's Golf Association of Graymere Country Club.
