John Andrew Graves

Mr. John Andrew Graves, 48, independent electrician and resident of the Mooresville Pike, died Wednesday, February 27, 2008 at Maury Regional Hospital. Services will be conducted at a later date in Oneida Castle, New York. Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Notes of sympathy may be sent to the family at www.oakesandnichols.com. The Vernon, New York native was the son of Agnes MacLeod Graves of Vernon, NY and the late Norman Edward Graves. He was a graduate of Vernon Verona Sherrill Central School in Verona, New York and also graduated from the University of Nevada Las Vegas. He was a member of International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Union #11 in Los Angeles, California. In addition to his mother he is survived by his wife, Sandra Clagett Graves of Columbia; a stepson, Sean Edward Raftery of Columbia; stepdaughter, Nicole Rene Harnish of San Diego, CA; two sisters, Cathy Anne Graves and Jan Elizabeth Graves both of Columbia; one brother, Jeffrey Peter Graves of Illinois; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
