John Earle Hewitt, Jr., 54, co-owner-operator of Soda Pop Junction Restaurant in Lynnville, died Friday, September 10, 2004 at his residence on McCall Street in the Lynnville Community. For a number of years he worked in the livestock industry at stockyards and as a trucker. Funeral services will be conducted Monday at 3:30 p.m. at Oakes & Nichols with Brother Milton Stephens and Judge Bobby Sands officiating. Burial will be in the Lynnwood Cemetery. The Giles County native was the son of the late John Earle Hewitt, Sr. and Louise Osborne Hewitt. Survivors include two sisters, Judy (J.V.) Roberts of Lynnville and Melissa (Kelly) Ennis of Allen, Texas; three brothers, Payton (Cheryl) Hewitt of Lynnville, Bill (Beth) Hewitt of Franklin and Phil (Karen) Hewitt of Lynnville; sixteen nieces and nephews, Jason (Amy) Roberts, Julie Grace (Jeff) Hendricks, Holly (Brent) Thomason, Will Hewitt, Kathy Hewitt, Philip (Rachel) Hewitt, Jacob Roberts, Taylor Hewitt, Joseph Hewitt, Sarah Beth Hewitt, Caity Hewitt, Hayley Hewitt, Jack Hewitt, John Payton Hewitt, Lizzy Hewitt and Jesse Hewitt; four great-nieces and great-nephews, Grace Thomason, Ellie Thomason, Jay Roberts and Jared Roberts. Nephews will serve as pallbearers.
