John Thomas Notgrass

John Thomas Notgrass, 78, retired warehouse manager and driver with Allied Moving Lines and resident of Brannon Court, died Friday, December 5, 2008 at Maury Regional Medical Center. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 P.M. Saturday at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home with Jack White officiating. Burial will be in Santa Fe Cemetery. The family will visit with friends Saturday after 1:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Notes of sympathy may be sent to the family at www.oakesandnichols.com. The Maury County native was the son of the late Ulna Notgrass and Mattie Bell Alderson Notgrass. He was a member of the Church of Christ. Survivors include one sister, Mary Kathryn Jewell of Columbia; three nieces, Linda Pinkard, Freda (Larry) Jones, and Barbara Hooten, all of Columbia; one nephew, Leslie Paul McGowan of Columbia; several great nieces, great nephews, great great nieces and great great nephews. He was preceded in death by a sister, Virginia Notgrass McGowan. Pallbearers were family and friends. The family would like to express a special thanks to the ASU Unit at Life Care Center, Dr. Douglas Kennedy, and Dr. Hrishi Kanth.
