MR. JOHN K WILSON Mr. John K Wilson, 68, farmer and life-long resident of Stockard Road in the Culleoka Community, died Saturday, August 9, 2003 at Maury Regional Hospital. Funeral services will be conducted Monday at 12:00 Noon at Oakes & Nichols with Rev. Tony Collins officiating. Burial will be in the Glennwood Cemetery. The family will visit with friends Sunday from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Notes of sympathy may be sent to the family at oakesandnichols.com. The Maury County native was the son of the late Ernest Edgar Wilson, Sr. and Katherine Watkins Wilson. He was a member of the Glennwood Presbyterian Church. Mr. Wilson was a well-known Bluegrass banjo picker and life-long hunter and trapper. Survivors include his wife, Marie Cummins Wilson of Culleoka; two daughters, Emily Wilson and Lisa (John) Allred, both of Culleoka; four sons, John K (Carolyn) Wilson, Jr., Reese (Tracy) Wilson, Eddie Wilson and Danny Wilson, all of Culleoka; a step-son, Tim Lunn of Culleoka; a brother, Ernest Edgar Wilson, Jr. of Culleoka; twleve grandchildren. Active pallbearers are Tommy McCaleb, Clyde Harris, Henry "Dickie" Ray, John Boyd Cothron, Guy Penrod and Timmy Clark. Honorary pallbearers are Donald Scott, Wayne Hickman, Everette Endsley, Jimmy Attkisson, Ara McCaleb and Linda Harris.
