Johnnie Mae Campbell Hutcherson, 94, retired seamstress, died Friday, January 26, 2018, at her residence on Carters Creek Pike. Funeral services will be conducted Monday at 10:00 A.M. at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home with George Stofel and Weston Stofel officiating. Burial will follow in Lasting Hope Cemetery. The family will visit with friends Sunday from 4:00 - 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home. The family suggests memorials to Lasting Hope Cemetery, c/o Winnie Love, 412 Cheyenne Trail, Columbia, TN 38401. Born April 2, 1923 in the Mulberry Community of Lincoln County, she was the daughter of the late John Henry Campbell and the late Della Tucker Campbell. On March 31, 1946, she married R. C. Hutcherson who preceded her in death April 13, 2013. Mrs. Hutcherson's career as a seamstress spanned many years, having worked at Dixie Manufacturing and Publix Shirt Factory. After her retirement, she was a vendor at the Maury County Park during Mule Day festivities. She enjoyed cross-stitching, vegetable gardening, attending auctions, and was a former member of the Women's Bowling League in Columbia. She was a member of West Point Cumberland Presbyterian Church. Survivors include her daughters, Linda (Michael) Bligh of Nashville and Janice (Robert) Chambers of Gallatin; sons, Ray (Linda) Hutcherson of Columbia and James (Chris) Hutcherson of Cartersville, GA; grandchildren, Carrie Ring, Shannon (George) Stofel, and Renee (Bryan) Adams, all of Columbia; step grandchildren, Melissa Nemec and Jessica Nemec Lovinggood , both of Georgia; five great grandchildren; two step great grandchildren; and one great great granddaughter; special cousin, Virginia Wilson of Lewisburg; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her siblings, Vesta Lee Campbell, Laura Dee Campbell, Clarence Campbell, Willis Campbell, and Agnes Campbell Dance. Pallbearers will be Jesse Harrell, Timmy Clark, Gary Love, Bryan Adams, George Stofel, Weston Stofel, and Ryan Ring. The family would like to express a special thank you to Caris Hospice and Dr. Paul Perryman.
