View Funeral Webcast Mr. Jonathan Lee Tubville, 48, a resident of Columbia, died Sunday, September 12, 2021 at his residence. A memorial service for Mr. Tubville will be conducted Saturday, September 18th at 4:00 p.m. at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home. Born on January 23, 1973 in Davidson County, he was the son of the late William L. Tubville and Johnnie Sue Forrester York. Mr. Tubville graduated from Hampshire High School where he was the Valedictorian of the Class of 1991. He had many accomplishments including, Boys State Delegate, he received the Excellence award for Academics & Athletics and also attended Governor’s School in Johnson City. Mr. Tubville attended Middle Tennessee State University on a 4 year scholarship where he received his Bachelor’s of Liberal Arts Degree, majoring in English. Mr. Tubville was employed by Trexis Insurance Company where he worked as a claims adjuster. On April 17, 2021 he married Vanessa Williams. Mr. Tubville loved music, fishing and spending time with his family, especially his nieces and nephews. In addition to his mother and wife, he is survived by his brothers, Bill Tubville of Columbia and Michael (Elizabeth) Tubville of Mt. Pleasant; nephews, Zachary Tubville of Columbia and Cole Tubville of Mt. Pleasant; nieces, Lindsey (Logan) Coan of Prospect and Emma Tubville of Mt. Pleasant; one great-nephew, Cooper Coan of Prospect. He was preceded in death by his father, William L. Tubville.
