View Funeral Webcast Joseph Graham, Jr., age 78, went to be with his Lord on December 5, 2020. Born in Clarksdale, MS, to the late Joseph Graham and Nancy Abbay Graham, he spent most of his childhood in Columbia, TN. After graduating Central High School, he attended Southwestern (now Rhodes) College in Memphis, and then served his country in the United States Air Force. After his service, he worked for the U.S. Postal Service, from which he retired. Joe was a member of Shriners International. He was a longtime member of First Presbyterian Church, and in his later years was a member of Graymere Church of Christ. Joe was a wonderfully intentional father and grandfather and was a faithful caregiver to his beloved wife during her long illness. He cherished time with family and enjoyed a good hunt. Joe was predeceased by Mary Graham, his loving wife of 43 years. He is survived by his sons Joseph Graham, III, and Rob (Rachael) Graham of Columbia, TN; his grandchildren Robert, John Michael and Kayleigh; his sisters Nancy (Harrol) Cranford of Maumelle, AR, and Mildred (Dudley) Dolinger of Nashville, TN; and his brothers Bill (Gaetanne) Graham of Columbia, TN and Irwin (Patsy) Graham of Memphis, TN. He also leaves behind an extended family, whom he loved and whose company he greatly enjoyed. Graveside services are Wednesday, December 9, 2020, at 11:00 a.m. at St. John's Episcopal Church on Trotwood Ave, Mt. Pleasant, TN with military honors provided by Herbert Griffin American Legion Post 19. Oakes & Nichols Funeral Directors are assisting the family with arrangements.
