Joseph D Hill Sr

Mr. Joseph Douglas Hill, Sr., 87, resident of Paris Tennessee, died Friday, December 14, 2007 in Royal Oak, Michigan. Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home with Rev. Dave Bradley officiating. Burial will be in Polk Memorial Gardens. The family will visit with friends Tuesday from 12 - 6 p.m. at the funeral home. Notes of sympathy may be sent to the family at www.oakesandnichols.com. The Maury County native was the son of the late Roy E. Hill and Gertrude Mayberry Hill. He was married to Margaret Wilson Hill who preceded him in death in 1991. Mr. Hill was a retired restaurant owner and member of the Methodist Church. He is survived by a son, Joseph Douglas (Judith) Hill, Jr. of Royal Oak, Michigan; one sister, Mrs. Marie Baucomb of Columbia; two grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a brother, Robert M. Hill of Columbia. Pallbearers will be family and friends.
