Josephine Logue Troope

Mrs. Josephine Logue Troope, 91, died Sunday, June 24, 2007 at her long-time residence on the Mooresville Pike. Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday at 1:00 p.m. at Oakes & Nichols with John Vaughan officiating. Burial will be in Polk Memorial Gardens. The family will visit with friends Monday from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Notes of sympathy may be sent to www.oakesandnichols.com. The Maury County native was the daughter of the late Joseph Logue and Virginia Nelson Lindsey Logue. She was a member of Graymere Church of Christ. In October, 1936, she married Leonard Troope who preceded her in death in 1996. Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Wayne and Becky Troope of Franklin; a grandson, Kevin Troope of Murfreesboro; a sister, Miss Ethelene Logue of Columbia; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by five sisters, Wilma Williams, Rena Pearl Erwin, Reba Lovell, Oclene Benderman, and Kate Woods and three brothers, Herman Logue, Elmer Logue, and Hazel Logue. Active pallbearers are George Endsley, Ronnie Erwin, David Erwin, Richard Williams, Houston McCandless, and Joe Dennis Logue. Honorary pallbearers include the Professional Ladies Class at Graymere Church of Christ.
