Mrs. Joyce F. Patterson, 74, resident of Sunnyside Lane, died Sunday, September 14, 2003 at St. Thomas Hospital. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 P.M., Wednesday, at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home with Rev. Douglas Hendon and Rev. Steve Robertson officiating. Burial will be in Polk Memorial Gardens. She was a retired employee of Roses Department Store and a member of Grace Church of the Nazarene. Survivors include her husband of fifty-four years, Arch G. Patterson of Columbia; a daughter, Brenda Patterson of Bourbonnais, Illinois; three sons, Wayne Patterson, Mike (Diane) Patterson both of Columbia, Steve (Deb) Patterson of Mt. Pleasant; four grandchildren, Jennifer Patterson, Whitney Patterson, Matt Patterson, John Patterson all of Columbia; two sisters, Alberta Osborne, Kay Smith and two brothers, Will Foster and Charles Foster, all of Kentucky. She was preceded in death by three sisters and two brothers. Pallbearers will be Matt Patterson, John Patterson, Isaac Griffy, Jack Auville, Don Dooley, Billy Sargent, Herschel Currie and Jerry Attkisson.
