Joyce Martin Anderson Reed

Mrs. Melba Joyce Martin Anderson Reed, 68, certified nursing assistant at Maury Regional Medical Center, died Monday, May 13, 2013 at her residence on Greenlick Drive. Funeral services will be conducted Monday at 1:00 p.m. at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home with Darrell Bewley officiating. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery. The family will visit with friends Sunday after 4:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Condolences may be offered online at www.oakesandnichols.com. A native of Cloverdale in Lauderdale County, Alabama, she was the daughter of the late Willie Benjamin Martin and Opal Laverne Hayes Martin. She attended Maury County schools. She first married Walter Anderson who died in 1967 and later married Irvin Reed, Jr. of Columbia who survives. Mrs. Reed enjoyed painting, drawing, making quilts and crocheting. She was a member of Highland Avenue Church of God. In addition to her husband survivors include her daughters, Terrie Anderson Garcia, Dena Anderson both of Columbia, Angela Anderson (Timothy) Jett of Lynnville; son, Irvin (Lee Ann) Reed, III, of Jacksonville, North Carolina; grandchildren, Cody Eubanks, Robby Anderson, Blake Greenfield, Briana Webb Betker, Kelsey Reed, Tahni Tipton, Jacob Radwell, Tiffini Karbowski, Jordan Craft, Tristen Garcia and Natasha Garcia; great-grandchildren, Jaysen Betker, Traven Anderson, Peyton Karbowski, Brayden Radwell; sisters, Ruby Ragsdale, Hazel Iglesias both of Columbia, Fay (Charles) Cole of Milton, Florida; brother, Billy Martin of Columbia; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a brother, Robert Martin. Grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
