Mrs. Juanita Gray Adams, 84, resident of Fleming Street, died Wednesday, March 15, 2006, at Life Care Center. Funeral services will be conducted at 10:00 A.M. Friday at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home with Brother James D. Effler and Brother Scott Mason officiating. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery. The family will visit with friends Thursday from 4:00 - 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home. The Maury County native was the daughter of the late William Gray and Sarah Lucy Canfield Gray. On May 30, 1938, she married Douglas Ray Adams, Sr., who preceded her in death April 18, 1989. She was a member of Highland Avenue Church of God. Survivors include one son, Ray (Jane) Adams of Columbia; two daughters, Paula (Ronnie) Richardson and Terri (Kenny) Harmon, both of Columbia; one brother-in-law, Alex Cothron of Columbia; six grandchildren, Patrick (Ginger) Adams, Susie (Mark) Curry, Amie (Mike) Roscoe, Kelly (Shannon) Bratton; Michael Gilliam and his fiancée, Tonya Miller, Joshua Gilliam; seven great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by one son, William Terry Adams, who died in 1958. Pallbearers will be Mark Curry, Mike Roscoe, Brian Adams, Patrick Adams, Kelly Bratton, Justin Curry, Michael Gilliam, and Joshua Gilliam. Honorary pallbearers will be Dr. Thomas Dake and members of Highland Avenue Church of God.
