Juanita Blackburn Roberts

Juanita Blackburn Roberts, 91, homemaker and long-time resident of Spring Hill, died Monday, April 04, 2016 at Maury Regional Medical Center. Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday at 12:00 P.M. at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home with Reverend David Sawyer officiating. Burial will follow in Spring Hill Cemetery. The family will visit with friends Wednesday from 10:00 A.M. until service time at the funeral home. Condolences may be extended online at www.oakesandnichols.com. The Maury County native was the daughter of the late Matthew Blackburn and Nettie Blackburn. She married Robert Cassius "R.C." Roberts who preceded her in death in 1994. Mrs. Roberts was a member of First Presbyterian Church in Spring Hill. Survivors include her brother, James Blackburn of Columbia; sister, Margaret Vincion of Columbia; grandchildren, Michael (Casey) Roberts and Shannon Faun both of Columbia; great grandchildren, Alexis Faith Roberts, Austin Elijah Roberts, Tyler Roberts Brandon Faun, and Ronin Faun all of Columbia; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by her son, Robert Roberts, III in 2002. Active pallbearers will be Jerry Blackburn, Tony Blackburn, Tommy Blackburn, Ronnie Blackburn, and Henry Harris. Honorary pallbearers include Dr. Rand Hayes, Buzz Morton, Jimmy Hood, Robert Hickman, Susie Morton, and Mattie Harris.
