View Video Tribute Judith Ann Baxter Cothran, 80, retired employee of Maury Regional Medical Center and resident of Mt. Pleasant, died Friday, August 5, 2022 at Brookdale Assisted Living. Born June 4, 1942 in Maury County, she was the daughter of the late Arthur Jasper Baxter and the late Ella Blocker Baxter. Ms. Cothran enjoyed making Colonel Coon Knives for Tennessee Knife Works. She was a member of Hampshire Baptist Church. Survivors include her sons, James Lewis (Connie) Cothran, Jr, Johnny Edward Cothran, and Michael Shane (Greta) Cothran; grandchildren, James Lewis “Keefe” (Milinda) Cothran III, Jennifer Renee (Adam) Massey, Stephanie Treadway, Kayla Brooke (Cody) Milam, Dillan Cothran, Cameron Cothran, Kaden Cothran; great grandchildren, Nicholas Reid Cothran, Sebastian Tadgh Cothran, Xavier Frances Cothran, Addison Grace Massey, Emerson Claire Massey, Alexis Treadway, Eden Treadway, and Tyler Ray Milam; daughter-in-law, mother of 2 grandchildren, and long-time friend, Robin Cothran; and special friend, Kelley Mullis. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, James Arthur Baxter. The family would like to express a special thanks to the staff at Brookdale Assisted Living for the exceptional care and love given to Ms. Cothran during her final years and also a thanks to Tim Brashears, Avalon Hospice for the special care and attention given.
