Judy Anne Hardin Spann, 72, of Columbia died Tuesday, September 5, 2017, at her residence surrounded by her family.Funeral services will be conducted Friday at 1:00 P.M. at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home with John Vaughan and Steve Thomason officiating. Burial will follow in Polk Memorial Gardens. The family will visit with friends Thursday from 4:00 - 8:00 P.M. and Friday from 11:00 A.M. until service time at the funeral home. Born September 10, 1944, in Nashville, Tennessee and grew up in Waverly, Tennessee, she was the daughter of the late Floyd Hardin and the late Lela Warren Hardin. She enjoyed traveling, gardening, and spending time with her husband, children, and grandchildren. She was a member of Graymere Church of Christ. Survivors include her high school sweetheart and husband of 53 years, Joe Spann of Columbia; children, Debbie (Greg) Buie of Columbia; Timmy (Tabitha) Spann of Columbia; Jody (Kim) Spann of Centerville; and her dog, Daisey Mae; grandchildren, Christopher (Leigh) Buie of Columbia; Matthew (Jaclyn Dalton) Spann of Columbia; Justin (Ashley) Spann of Columbia; Hunter Buie of Columbia; Dylan (Alyssa Evans) Spann of Columbia; Karlee Spann of Centerville; sisters, Edna Work of Waverly; Dottie Bell of Waverly; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Ray and Peggy Spann of Hurricane Mills; nine nieces and nephews; and twenty great nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her brother, Jimmy Hardin; sister, Jo Hardin; father-in-law, James Spann; mother-in-law, Mamie Spann; nephew, Ricky Bell; and brother-in-law, Lloyd Bell.Active pallbearers will be Christopher Buie, Matthew Spann, Justin Spann, Hunter Buie, Dylan Spann, Jeff Spann, and Karlee Spann.
