Mr. Justin Edward Ables, 22, employee of John Maher Home Builders and resident of Shiloh Circle, died Wednesday, October 19, 2005 as a result of an automobile accident. Funeral services will be conducted at 11a.m., Saturday at First Baptist Church with Rev. Pete Tackett officiating. Burial will be in Polk Memorial Gardens. The family will visit with friends Friday after 4p.m. at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home. Notes of sympathy may be sent to the family at www.oakesandnichols.com. The Maury County native was the son of James Edward "Eddie" Ables and Mary Azalea "Lea" Earwood Ables. He was a 2001 graduate of Columbia Central High School where he served as manager of the Basketball and Baseball teams from 1998 - 2001 and was a loyal supporter of the CHS Lionbackers. He was an avid outdoorsman who loved to hunt and fish year round. Justin was a proud member of Bill Marbet's DIRT crew. He loved his horse, Rebel, and learning the art of Team Roping. He was a member of First Baptist Church. Survivors in addition to his parents are one sister, Ashley Ables of Columbia; one brother, Zach Vernon of Columbia; maternal grandmother, Mrs. Barbara McIntyre of Columbia, paternal grandmother Mrs. Pauline Crabtree Ables of Fayetteville; two uncles, John (Janet) Earwood of Columbia; Bobby Ray Ables of Fayetteville; and two cousins, Josh (Lise) Earwood of Murfreesboro and Chris (Kristi) Earwood of Thompson Station. Pallbearers will be Chris Earwood, Josh Earwood, Alexander Erwin, John O. Williams, III, Bobby Benefield, Michael Benefield, Ted Johnson and Terry Johnnson. Honorary pallbearers will be employees of John Maher Home Builders and Environmental Services at Maury Regional Hospital.
