Katherine Davis Mahon

Mrs. Katherine Davis Mahon, 91, farmer and resident of the Nashville Highway, died Thursday, December 28, 2006 at Maury Regional Hospital. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Sunday at Oakes & Nichols with Rev. David McGregor officiating. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery. Notes of sympathy may be sent to www.oakesandnichols.com. The Maury County native was the daughter of the late Maury County Davis and Lucy Stamps Davis. She was a long-time member of First Cumberland Presbyterian Church. She was married December 23, 1936 to Stanley Mahon, Sr. who preceded her in death December 29, 2001. Survivors include a son, Stanley (Sue) Mahon, Jr. of Murfreesboro; two granddaughters, Dr. Elizabeth (Nicholas) Utter of Murfreesboro, Katherine Marie Mahon of Knoxville; a sister, Sue Frances Wilkie of Columbia; a brother, John Elwood (Frances) Davis of the Knob Creek Community; several nieces and nephews. Active pallbearers are Mark Priest, Ralph Williams, Nicholas Utter, John L. Davis, Dr. Fred Porter, Deric Keltner, Dr. Buddy Malone, and Scott Elias. Honorary pallbearers include Elders and Deacons of First Cumberland Presbyterian Church.
