View Video Tribute Katherine Naomi "Bing Bing" Morris Phillips, 95, retired cashier for Rose's Department Store and long-time resident of Harris Street, died Saturday, May 12, 2018 at Brookdale Assisted Living. Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday at 10:30 A.M. at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home with Reverend Thomas Vann and Reverend Angy Trimmer officiating. Burial will follow in Old Shores Cemetery in Giles County. The family will visit with friends Tuesday from 4:00 P.M. - 7:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Born February 5, 1923 in Giles County, Tennessee, she was the daughter of the late William Allen Morris and the late Cecilia McCafferty Morris. She married Milus Milton Phillips who preceded her in death September 2, 1991. She was an avid gardener and enjoyed quilting. Mrs. Phillips was a member of Minder Community Club, Senior Citizens, and Craft Memorial United Methodist Church. Survivors include her son, Larry (Jane) Phillips of Columbia; daughter, Patsy (Joe) Hedrick of Columbia; sister, Edith Rippy of Gallatin; grandchildren, Eric Phillips; Lisa (Barry) Barber; Zac (Brittany) Hedrick; great grandchildren, Garrett Barber; Ryan Hedrick; Nolan Hedrick; and niece, Sandra (Gary) Abernathy. Pallbearers will be Lavelle Riggins, Lila Pearl Barnes, Delmer Glover, Milton Hood, and Herbert Hood.
