Kathryne Brown McMeen, 80, former resident of Navaho Trail, died Thursday, January 8, 2009 at NHC Hillview. Funeral services will be conducted Saturday at 2:30 p.m. at Oakes & Nichols with Brother Wayne B. Hardison and Frank McMeen officiating. Burial will be in Polk Memorial Gardens. The family will visit with friends Friday from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Notes of sympathy may be sent towww.oakesandnichols.com. The Maury County native was the daughter of the late Charlie Brown and Katie Duncan Brown. She was a 1946 graduate of Columbia Central High School. She married Raymond Austin McMeen, farmer and ower of Mid-South Livestock Company, June 2, 1961. Mr. McMeen died May 19, 2003. During her 42-year career with Middle Tennessee Bank, Mrs. McMeen served in numerous positions, including auditor and assistant Vice President. She was a member of Northview Church of Christ. Survivors include sisters, Betty (John) Lovett of Columbia, Mary (Greg) DePagter of Malden, Massachusetts, and Virginia Taylor of Columbia; sisters-in-law, Minnie Ruth Andrews of Columbia, Janie Lamb of Brentwood, and Della M. Jones of Columbia; brothers-in-law, Frank McMeen of Columbia and Taylor McMeen of Brandon, Florida; nieces, Gayle Goad of Nashville, Teresa (Roy) Wilson of Huntsville, Alabama; nephew, Ron (Pat) Brown of Atlanta, Georgia; special great-nephews, Nathan Wilson and Daniel Wilson. Pallbearers are John Lovett, Roy Wilson, Tom Burt, Frank McMeen, Joe Delk, Donald Richardson, Mike McMeen, and Clyde Yeager.
