Kathy Edwards Hocker

Mrs. Kathy Harris Edwards Hocker, 52, died Monday, March 26, 2007, at her residence on Shadow Lawn Dr. Funeral services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Thursday at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home with Rev. Bob Vassar officiating. Burial will be in Polk Memorial Gardens. The family will visit with friends Wednesday from 4 - 8 p.m. at the funeral home. The Williamson County native was the daughter of the late Winfred Tyree Harris and Thelma Davis Harris. She was a 1972 graduate of Columbia Central High School and attended Columbia State Community College. She was employed by General Electric for twenty years and more recently worked in management at Frito Lay in Pulaski. She attended the Baptist church. Survivors include her husband, Harold Hocker of Columbia; one daughter, Renee (Tony) Click of Columbia; three grandchildren, Blaine Click, Conner Click and Allie Click; two step-children, Brian (Ginger) Hocker and Brooke Hocker; several cousins; and special friends, Sheila Brown Long, Sheila Alderson, Carolyn Yarber, Janice Ledford, Becky Allen, and members of The National Hen Party Association. Pallbearers will be Michael Dodson, Ronnie Long, Doug Wichmann, Eddie Yarber, Billy Ledford and Jimmy Lochridge. Honorary pallbearers will be Dr. Jim Richardson, doctors and staff at Columbia Oncology, 3rd Floor oncology nurses at Maury Regional Hospital, Bobby Rochester, Melanie Durham and co-workers at General Electric and Frito Lay.
