Kathy Pullen Moen, 62, retired administrative assistant for Dr. Steve Nowlin and resident of Rainier Drive, died Saturday, August 19, 2017 at Vanderbilt University Medical Center.Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday at 11:00 A.M. at First Family Baptist Church with Reverend Rick Blevins and Dr. Steve Nowlin officiating. Burial will follow in Polk Memorial Gardens. The family will visit with friends Tuesday from 4:00-8:00 P.M. and Wednesday from 10:00-11:00 A.M. at the church. Oakes & Nichols Funeral Directors are assisting the family arrangements and condolences may be extended online at www.oakesandichols.com.The Maury County native was the daughter of the late Edgar Evan "Buddy" Pullen and the late Mary Katherine Rochelle Pullen. She was a 1972 graduate of Columbia Central High School and attended Columbia State Community College. A member of First Family Baptist Church, Mrs. Moen taught Kindergarten Sunday School Classes for several years and from May 1993 to November 2001 she was the Pastor's Secretary. She enjoyed gardening, sewing, quilting and was a wonderful cook. She was a former member of the Red Hat Ladies. Survivors include her husband, whom she married September 4, 1993, Joel Leonard Moen of Columbia; son, Billy Wayne (Becky) Blackburn of Murfreesboro; step daughter, Kelley Moen Turco of Columbia; step son, Matthew Moen of Murfreesboro; brother, Eddie Pullen; grandchildren, Emma Katherine Blackburn; Allison Elizabeth Blackburn; William Evan Blackburn; Michael Wayne Kelley; Gregory David Kelley; Craig Stephen (Jacquelyn Danielle) Kelley; David Brian Turco, Jr; great grandchild; Lincoln Parker Kelley; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins. Active pallbearers will be Michael Kelley, Gregory Kelley, Craig Kelley, David Turco, Jr., Paul Holt, and Jeremy Haywood. Honorary pallbearers include Nowlin's Small Group.
