Katie Daniels Demastus

Mrs. Katie Daniels Demastus, 89, died Thursday, December 2, 2004, at NHC Columbia. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 A.M. Saturday at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home with Wendell Robinson officiating. Burial will be in Friendship Cemetery. The family will visit with friends Friday from 4:00 - 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Notes of sympathy may be sent to the family at www.oakesandnichols.com The Maury County native was the daughter of the late Robert D. Daniels and Thada Crain Daniels. She was married to Nick Demastus who preceded her in death in 1969. Mrs. Demastus was a member of Scribners Mill Church of Christ. Survivors include three daughters, Mrs. Juanita Gail (James C.) Davis and Mrs. Rebecca Ann (Roy) Ballard, both of Columbia; Mrs. Karen (Ray) Green of Lynnville; one sister, Mrs. Frances Demastus of Columbia; eight grandchildren, nine great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by son, Walter D. Demastus, sister, Annie Warren, and grandson, Dennis Demastus.
