KENNETH H. HARRIS Mr. Kenneth Hayes Harris, 74, president and owner of Oil Service Company, Inc. and resident of the Mooresville Pike, died Sunday, December 22, 2002 at Life Care Center. Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday at 12:30 p.m. at Oakes & Nichols with John Vaughan and Wayne Hardison officiating. Burial will be in the Polk Memorial Gardens. The Maury County native was the son of the late Bernard Herman Harris and Julia Eliza Hayes Harris. He was a graduate of Columbia Military Academy and attended Middle Tennessee State University and Michigan State University. Mr. Harris was a member of the Ephesus Church of Christ. His wife, Mary Ruth Murphy Harris, died July 25, 1995. Survivors include a daughter, Linda Ruth (Jere) Brassell of Hendersonville; four sons, Kenneth Murphy (Debbie) Harris, Ronald Wesley Harris, Clayton Hayes "Duke" Harris, John Jefferson "Jeff" (Kayla) Harris, all of Columbia; eight grandchildren, Jere Thomas Brassell, Jr., Wesley Buckingham Brassell, Nicholas Edward Brassell, all of Hendersonville, Clayton Hayes Harris, Jr., Kayla Elizabeth Harris, Christian Jefferson Harris, Katie Beth Harris, Chloe Belle Harris, all of Columbia; four great-grandchildren, Emily Anne Brassell, Abbey Mae Brassell, Olivia Grace Brassell, Wesley Clayton Brassell, all of Hendersonville. Pallbearers are Jere Thomas Brassell, Jr., Wesley Buckingham Brassell, Nicholas Edward Brassell, Clayton Hayes Harris, Jr., Joel Murphy and George Horne.
