Kenneth Rae Machuta

Mr. Kenneth Rae Machuta, 61, retired Saturn employee, died Monday, September 26, 2005 at his residence on Old Sowell Mill Pike. Funeral services will be conducted at 10 a.m., Friday at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home. Burial will be in Rock Springs Cemetery with military honors provided by Herbert Griffin American Legion Post 19. The family will visit with friends Thursday from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Notes of sympathy may be sent to the family at www.oakesandnichols.com. The Mt. Pleasant, Michigan native was the son of the late John Harold Machuta and Marion Ruth Bowers Machuta. On January 25, 1967 he married Margaret McCann Machuta of Columbia. He served in the United States Navy during the Vietnam War. He was a member of the American Legion and a member of the Baptist faith. Survivors in addition to his wife are three sons, Gregory (Shawn) Machuta of Spring Hill, Christopher (Rebecca) Machuta of Cornersville, Jason (Michelle) Machuta of Waterford, Michigan; one sister, Betty (LeRoy) Hanson of Mt. Pleasant, Michigan; one brother, Thomas Machuta of Mt. Pleasant, Michigan; six grandchildren, Jonathon Machuta, Jenifer Machuta, Cole Machuta, Lauren Russell, Stephanie Russell, Kristen Adams; and several nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be family and friends.
