Kristopher Gary "Kris" Hardison, 17, Spring Hill High School senior and resident of Evergreen Drive, died Saturday, September 13, 2008 at Maury Regional Hospital from injuries sustained in an automobile accident. Funeral services will be conducted Monday at 4:00 p.m. at Graymere Church of Christ with Pastor Jerry Jeter and Pastor Raymond Johnson officiating. Burial will be in Polk Memorial Gardens. The family will visit with friends Sunday from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Oakes & Nichols and Monday from 2:00 p.m. to service time at the church. Kris was a member of the Spring Hill High School Class of 2009. He began playing baseball with the Columbia American Little League. He continued his avid interest in the sport at Spring Hill High School and was selected to the 2008 Class AA All-District 10 Team. He was also a member of the Tennessee Baseball Coaches Association Showcase Team in the summer of 2008. He attended the Columbia First United Methodist Church. Survivors include his parents, Sandy Masterson and Gary Hardison, Jr. of Columbia; brother, Brandon Levi Hardison of Columbia; maternal grandparents, Irene Colby of Murfreesboro and Harry L. Masterson of Columbia; paternal grandparents, Margaret Hargrove and William Gary Hardison, Sr. of Columbia; aunt, Pam (Jason) Hooten of Columbia; uncles, Lee (Shannon) Masterson of Franklin, Kevin (Tracy) Masterson of Elizabethton, and Brian Hardison of Columbia; very special friend, Haley Smith of Columbia; several great-aunts, great-uncles, and cousins. He was preceded in death by maternal great-grandparents, Margaret and Clarence Colby and Irene and William Elbert Masterson; paternal great-grandparents, Sarah and Leslie Hargrove and Ruby Hazel and Walter Hardison. Active pallbearers are Lee Masterson, Kevin Masterson, Brian Hardison, Zach Hooten, Ralph Smith, Coach Paul Lamm, Coach Lee Williams, and Coach Clay Doggett. Members of the Spring Hill High School Baseball Team and Fred Thomas will serve as honorary pallbearers.
