Kyle Scott Delffs, 18, 2008 graduate of Spring Hill High School and student at Nashville State Community College, died Wednesday, July 30, 2008 at Vanderbilt University Hospital from injuries sustained in an automobile accident. Funeral services will be conducted Friday at 2:00 p.m. at Oakes & Nichols with Rev. Gene Shelton officiating. Burial will be in Shires Cemetery. The family will visit with friends Thursday from 3:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Spring Hill High School Agriculture Department, 1 Raider Lane, Columbia 38401. As a member of Maury County 4-H Club, he showed prize-winning lambs and was 2005 Tennessee Livestock Expo Dorset Champion. He was a member of First Church of the Nazarene. Survivors include his mother, Tammy Billington Delffs of Columbia; his father, Dudley (Belinda) Delffs of Columbia; brother, Dustin Delffs of Columbia; maternal grandfather, Will Billington of Columbia; paternal grandmother, Helen Sedberry of Columbia; aunt, Debbie Sedberry; uncle, Jimmy Sedberry; several great-aunts and great-uncles. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Ruth Parnell Billington. Active pallbearers are John Paul Jones, Gwynne Evans, Kyle Green, Robbie Dockery, Jeremy Burchell, Sheldon Miller, Colton Brown, Jeremy Davidson, and Matthew Harvey. The 2008 Class of Spring Hill High School will serve as honorary pallbearers.
