View Video Tribute View Funeral Webcast Kyle Jean Ensink Hoonhorst, 75, homemaker and resident of Garner Road, died Tuesday, September 11, 2018 at Maury Regional Medical Center. Funeral services will be conducted Saturday at 2:00 P.M. at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home with Reverend Jeff Kane officiating. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery. The family will visit with friends Saturday from 12:00 P.M. until service time at the funeral home. Born January 8, 1943 in Ottawa County, Michigan, she was the daughter of the late Albert Ensink and the late Edna DeYoung Ensink Schipper. On October 5, 1962, she married David Henry Hoonhorst who preceded her in death April 1, 2015. She was a graduate of Unity Christian in Hudsonville, Michigan and later earned an Associate’s degree from Columbia State Community College. Mrs. Hoonhorst had previously attended Hopewell Associate Reformed Presbyterian Church. Survivors include her children, Daniel Lee (Danielle) Hoonhorst of Marshall, Michigan; Lynette Hoonhorst of Jackson; Kristin May (Timothy R.) Stevens of Spring Hill; Dale D. Hoonhorst of Lawrenceburg; sister, Marie (Robert) Heyboer; brothers, Fred Ensink; Chuck (Barbara) Ensink; Robert (Karen) Ensink; six grandchildren; and two great grandchildren. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her great grandson, Caiden Henry Parson; and sister-in-law, Janet Ensink. Active pallbearers will be her family.
