View Video Tribute Lady Ann Crigger Watson, 82, passed away at Maury Regional Medical Center on Saturday, April 10, 2021. A memorial service will be held Saturday at 2:00 P.M. at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home with Ricky Clay officiating. Lady was born June 12, 1938 in Culleoka to the late Marvin Preston Crigger and the late Lula Bell Reed Crigger. Lady lived in Marshall and Maury County all her life. At the age of 13, Lady meet and fell in love with a young man, Joe Watson. Her parents would not let her date until she turned 18, so as soon as she was able, they met up again and one and half years later they were married on December 20, 1958. Their marriage stayed strong until Joe died in 2008 just shy of 50 years of marriage. Lady enjoyed spending time with her children, and when they started school, she got tired of staying home alone. At that time she started helping her husband roof houses. Lady was the first woman to roof houses in this area. Lady is survived by her son, Billy Paul Watson; daughters, Cheryl Dean Lake, Sharon Diana (Johnny) Chapman; daughter-in-law, Melissa J. Watson; sister, Charlene Victory; special sister-in-law, Judy Watson; six grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren; and five great great grandchildren. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her son, Joe Randell Watson; brothers, James Crigger, Billy Crigger, Bobby Crigger, Ewell “Bowser” Crigger, Jerry Crigger; and sister, Dorothy Crigger Patterson.
