Lanis Robertson Mr. Lanis Berlin Robertson, 90, retired salesman for Southland Novelty Company and resident of Alicia Lane, died Tuesday, March 23, 2004 at Maury Regional Hospital. Funeral services will be conducted at 1p.m. Thursday at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home with John Vaughn and Bill McDonald officiating. Burial will be in Polk Memorial Gardens. The family will visit with friends Wednesday from 4 - 8 p.m. at the funeral home with a Masonic service to be conducted at 8p.m. The Warren County native was the son of the late Arthur M. Robertson and Mary Dellen Rigsby Robertson. Mr. Robertson was very proud of his Scots-Irish heritage and was a descendant of several of the pioneer families of Warren and Cannon Counties. He was Salutatorian of the 1932 graduating class at Centerville High School. He moved to Maury County in 1952 and was a member of Graymere Church of Christ. He was Master Mason at Masonic Lodge 618 in Centerville where he was a member for fifty years. He was a member of Al Menah Temple, fifty year member of the Scottish Rite and member of Sam Davis Chapter Knights of Pythias. Survivors include his wife, Mary Alma Nicks Robertson of Columbia; two daughters, Jan (Jerry Wayne) Rooker of Lynnville, Cindy (Dan) Waters of Mt. Juliet; two grandchildren, Michael (Jenny) Haddock of Lynnville, Christi Haddock of Columbia; and several nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be Michael Haddock, Jerry Rooker, Dan Waters, Neal Pulley, David Scott, David Ring and nephews. Honorary pallbearers will be Frank Walker, Johnnie Wells, Jerry Colley, Deason Loveless, Brittany Hickman, Ray Hickman, C.B. Moore, Andy Hunter, John Markham, Dr. Gibran Naddy and the staff at Columbia Cares and Rehabilitation Center.
