Larry Gene "Beaver" Davis

Larry Gene "Beaver" Davis, 70, retired truck driver for Alman Construction and resident of Riverside Drive, died Monday, July 4, 2016 at Maury Regional Medical Center. Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday at 3:00 P.M. at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home with Wendell Robinson officiating. Burial will follow in Lynnwood Cemetery. The family will visit with friends Wednesday from 1:00-3:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Condolences may be extended online at www.oakesandnichols.com. Born December 24, 1945 in Detroit, Michigan, he was the son of the late Raymond Davis and Zula Sands Davis. Mr. Davis was an avid Alabama Fan and enjoyed NASCAR races. Survivors include his brother and sister-in-law, Fred and Frankie Davis of Meridianville, AL; one daughter; one granddaughter; and special friends, Debbie Dungy and Don Howell. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his sister, Juanita Sholly. Family and friends will serve as active pallbearers.
