Laura Belle Russell Brown, 81, resident of Fly Road in Santa Fe, died Thursday, May 31, 2018 at Life Care Center of Columbia.Funeral services will be conducted Saturday at 11:00 A.M. at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home with Reverend Mike Dawson officiating. Burial will follow in Polk Memorial Gardens. The family will visit with friends Saturday from 9:00 A.M. until service time at the funeral home. Condolences may be extended online at www.oakesandnichols.com. Born August 7, 1936 in Dade County, Florida, she was the daughter of the late Alice Morrison Jividen. She married James Anderson Brown who preceded her in death November 13, 1997. She was a retired CNA from NHC Healthcare. Mrs. Brown enjoyed reading, cross word puzzles, crocheting, and traveling. Survivors include her daughters, Stephanie (Ryan) Sutherland of Santa Fe; Debbie (Keith) Sartain of Columbia; son, Jimmy (Selena) McGraw of Lynnville; grandchildren, Bentley Sutherland; Lorie (Ryan) Lee; Clayton (Melissa) Zaragoza; Jimmie McGraw, II; Shree (James) McGraw; great grandchildren, Adriane Lee; Chloey Lee; Natalia Lee; Jimmie McGraw, III; Chevy McGraw; Lauren McGraw; and sister, Mary Hubbard.In addition to her mother and husband, she was preceded in death by her son, William Glenn Brown; sister, Betty McCoy; brothers, Bobby Morrison; and Duke Morrison. Active pallbearers will be Jimmie McGraw, Ryan Sutherland, Ronald Sutherland, Jimmie McGaw, III, and Everett Guthrie.
