Lena Mai Donegan Fox, 87, died Sunday, January 8, 2017 at Lincoln Donalson Care Center in Fayetteville. Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday at 2:00 P.M. at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home with Reverend Thomas Vann and Reverend Jim Hughes officiating. Burial will follow in Polk Memorial Gardens. The family will visit with friends Tuesday from 12:00 - 2:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Condolence may be extended online at www.oakesandnichols.com. Born January 10, 1929 in Dickson County, Tennessee, she was the daughter of the late Leonard Donegan and Minnie Myatt Donegan. On September 12, 1947, she married Ulna Raymond Fox and their 62-year marriage ended with his death May 23, 2010. She was a former resident of Williamsport Pike in Columbia and Post Road in Nashville before moving to The Blakeford where she made her home for several years. She was a former member of Craft Memorial United Methodist Church, where she had previously served on the board of trustees. Many years ago, she enjoyed many activities such as crafting and camping with her husband. Mrs. Fox was a member of Belle Meade United Methodist Church. Survivors include her daughter, Phyllis Fox Vaughn of Nashville; son, Steven Ray (Jeanne Minor) Fox of Fayetteville; grandsons, Gregory Ray Fox of Fayetteville, and Phillip Houston Vaughn of Nashville; granddaughter, Sidney Rae Fox (Wesley) Ogle of Fayetteville; great grandchildren, Samantha Rae Ogle and Wesley Ty Ogle both of Fayetteville; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by three sisters and two brothers. Active pallbearers will be Phillip Vaughn, Gregory Fox, Wesley Ogle, David Fox, Daryl Fox, Danny Herron, Warner Taylor, and Steve Corbitt. Honorary pallbearers include the staff of The Blakeford.
