MRS. LENORA A. POTEETE Mrs. Lenora Ann Norman Pinkleton Poteete, 69, former salesperson at Grants and Fabrific Fabric and resident of Woodmont Drive, died Thursday, January 9, 2003, at Maury Regional Hospital. Funeral services will be conducted Saturday at 12:30 P.M. at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home with Elmer Lusk and Kevin White officiating. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery. The Giles County native was the daughter of the late John Ben Norman and Vera Carpenter Norman. She was first married to Howard "Buck" Pinkleton who preceded her in death on June 9, 1954. She was a member of Eastside Church of Christ. Survivors include her husband of forty-seven years, Lesley Buford Poteete of Columbia; two daughters, Linda Ann Pinkleton (Bobby) Knox and Deborah Kaye Poteete (Jeff) Carroll, both of Columbia; one son, Larry Howard (Deborah) Pinkleton of Birmingham, Alabama; four grandchildren, Tammi (Tim) Thompson and Terri (Kerry) Dickens, both of Culleoka; Michael (Amanda) Orr of Nashville; Benjamin David Pinkleton of Birmingham, Alabama; eight great grandchildren, Justin Smith, Bailee Thompson, Emily Ann Thompson, Austin Thompson, Sydney Dickens, Maggie Dickens, Shana Thompson, Ashlyn Orr; best friend, Freda Cook Gibson; one niece, Tracy Lynn Norman (Tracy) Roberson of Columbia; one nephew, Randy Norman of Columbia; sister-in-law, Maylene Pinkleton Chumley of Columbia; and cousin, Jerry Norman of Columbia. She was preceded in death by one son, Michael Clayton Pinkleton and one brother, William Clayton Norman. Pallbearers will be Frank Duncan, Johnny Lightfoot, Ray Green, Larry Petty, Joe Gibson, Aubrey Nelson, Kerry Dickens, and Tim Thompson. Honorary pallbearers will be elders and deacons of Eastside Church of Christ, Maury Regional Hospital Third Floor Nurses, Dr. Lucy Dirr Ledbetter, Dr. Fran Kopecky, Dr. Amit Choksi, Dr. Heather Bazzel, and Jim Dawson.
