Mr. Leonard Palmer Moen, 83, resident of Haven Circle, died Thursday, March 8, 2007 at Maury Regional Hospital. Funeral services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Thursday, March 15, at Daleiden Mortuary, 220 North Lake Street, Aurora, Illinois. Burial will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Aurora. The Aurora, Illinois native was the son of the late Carl Moen and Thedora Priscilla Sandakar Moen. He was a graduate of East Aurora High School. Mr. Moen was retired from Commonwealth Edison Electric Company in Illinois. He served in the U.S. Army during WWII and was a member of the American Legion and the Moose Lodge. Mr. Moen attended the Lutheran Church. Survivors include his son, Joel (Kathy) Moen of Columbia; daughter, Shari (Otto) Leden of North Aurora, IL; four grandchildren, Kelley Moen (David) Turco of Columbia, Matthew Moen of Roanoke Rapids, NC, Lori (Tony) Ferrell of Sugar Grove, IL, Todd (Jennifer) Leden of Geneva, IL; and 9 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Marie Bernard Moen and a grandson, Brian Leden.
