Lila Ann Hairel Daniel

Mrs. Lila Ann Hairel Daniel, 84, resident of East 15th Street, died Saturday, January 5, 2008 at Williamson Medical Center. Funeral services will be conducted Monday at 1:00 p.m. at Oakes & Nichols with Rev. Wallace Booker officiating. Burial will be in Zion Presbyterian Churchyard. Notes of sympathy may be sent to www.oakesandnichols.com. A native of Ft. Payne, Alabama, she was the daughter of the late Wiley Henry Hairel and Mary Emma Jane Hartline Hairel. She was a member of the Baptist Church. Mrs. Daniel loved to fish and enjoyed rearing her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She was married March 15, 1944 to Charles Taylor Daniel. Mr. Daniel died August 11, 1991. Survivors include six daughters, Hala Mae King, Charse Ann (Pete) Matthews, Julie O. (Larry) Ervin, Rita F. (Larry) Mosley, all of Columbia, Bell Marie (Ronnie) Fitzgerald of Rally Hill, and Christine (Eddie) Sparkman of Theta; three sons, Leon Ray (Marty) Daniel of Mt. Pleasant, Freddie W. (Judy) Daniel of Columbia, and Raymond Taylor (Pamela) Daniel of Spring Hill; a sister, Martha Wooten of Huntsville, Alabama; a brother, Claudie (Genaveve) Hairel of Ft. Payne, Alabama; twenty-eight grandchildren; thirty-seven great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by six sisters, seven brothers, a son-in-law, Marvin King; and a great-grandson. Active pallbearers are Vance King, Charles King, Van Ervin, Brandon Sparkman, Josh Sparkman, Walter Fitzgerald, and Carlton Wilson. Honorary pallbearers are the medical staff of Williamson Medical Center.
