MRS. THOMAS LESLIE ERWIN, SR.Mrs. Lillian Pullen Erwin, 85, resident of Canaan Road, died Saturday, April 19, 2003 at Life Care Center.Funeral services will be conducted Monday at 3:00 p.m. at the Mt. Pleasant Cumberland Presbyterian Church with Rev. Wayne Parks officiating. Burial will be in the McCains Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Mt. Pleasant Cumberland Presbyterian Church, P. O. Pullen, Sr. and Georgia Burke Pullen. She was married December 16, 1938 to Thomas Leslie Erwin, Sr. who preceded her in death March 30, 2001.Mrs. Erwin was a charter member of the Mt. Pleasant Cumberland Presbyterian Church, was a member of the Church Choir and was very active in the work of Cumberland Presbyterian Women.Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Janice and Jesse Quirk of Mt. Pleasant; a son and daughter-in-law, Tommy and Jean Erwin of Mt. Pleasant; two sisters, Josephine Howell of Columbia and Georgia Crawford of Franklin, North Carolina; a granddaughter, Pam Erwin of Columbia; two grandsons, Jimmy (Anna) Quirk of Columbia and Jeff Quirk of Mt. Pleasant; a great-grandson, Sam Quirk of Columbia. She was preceded in death by two sisters, Elizabeth Green and Rose Ella Pullen; two brothers, Edgar Pullen and James Pullen; and a great-grandson, Brad Quirk. Active pallbearers are Gene Howell, Don Howell, Norman Howell, Doug Howell, Gary Howell, Gayden Green, Eddie Pullen, Larry Crawford, David Crawford and Dennis Crawford. Honorary pallbearers include W. C. Johnson, Margaret Bain and the men of the Mt. Pleasant Cumberland Presbyterian Church.
