Lillian Adell Goins Gray, 91, former resident of Santa Fe Pike, died Friday, March 3, 2017 at NHC Maury Regional Transitional Care Center.Funeral services will be conducted Sunday at 2:00 P.M. at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home with Joe Macer officiating. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery. The family will visit with friends Saturday from 4:00 - 7:00 P.M. and Sunday from 12:00 P.M. until service time at the funeral home. Condolences may be extended online at www.oakesandnichols.com.Born September 19, 1925 in Hickman County, she was one of nine children born to late Jordan Alexander Goins and Susie Litton Goins. She never completely got away from farming, she enjoyed raising chickens, gardening, canning, cooking, and needle work until she was no longer able. She began her sewing career, working in various factories and later Lasko Manufacturing where she retired. On December 18, 1944, she married Malcolm Everett "Junior" Gray, Jr. who preceded her in death April 16, 1997. Mrs. Gray was always a hard worker, very plain spoken and enjoyed spending time with her family. She attended the Church of Christ.Survivors include her daughter, Jane Ann (Don) Howell of Columbia; sons, Don Gray of Linden; David (Rita) Gray of Columbia; nine grandchildren, Andrea Howell (Scott) Troope; Tracy Howell (Joe) Stovall; David (Lisa) Howell; Lance Allen; Jason (Lori) Gray; Martin Keith (Jody) Daniel; Summer Daniel (Alan) Kubicki; Zack (Tately) Gray; Jordan Gray (Chase) Magee; thirteen great grandchildren, Everett Daniel; Daly Daniel; McKinley Stovall; Cameron Stovall; Roman Gray; Jackson Gray; Patterson Troope; Austin Troope; London Allen; Hunter Allen; Dutch Allen; Bradley Sutliffe; Brianna Howell; one great great grandchild, Noah Sutliffe; several nieces and nephews; sisters-in-law, Evelyn Miller; Mary Craft; Betty Dale; and brothers-in-law, Cleveland Walls; Loyd Craft; and Loyce "Laccie" Anderson. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Norma Gray Daniel; five sisters; and three brothers.Active pallbearers will be her grandsons and grandsons -in-law.
