Mrs. Lillian Mae Vaughan Scribner, 75, retired employee of Maury Regional Hospital and resident of Indian Camp Springs Road, died Wednesday, July 19, 2006 at Life Care of Tullahoma. Funeral services will be conducted at 4 p.m. Sunday at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home with Barry Farris officiating. Burial will be in Scribner's Mill Cemetery. The family will visit with friends Saturday from 4 - 8p.m. at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association, P.O. Box 2680, North Canton, Ohio, 44720. Mrs. Scribner attended Maury County Schools and was retired as Assistant Director of Environmental Services at Maury Regional Hospital. She was a former president of American Legion Auxiliary Post 19 and a former Gray Lady with the American Red Cross. She was a member of the Church of Christ. Survivors include her husband of fifty-nine years, Albert M. Scribner, Sr. of Columbia; two daughters, Pamela Farris of Culleoka; Sherry (Allen) Rogers of Tullahoma; two sisters Mrs. Dorothy Johnson of Lynnville, Mrs. Margaret (Valentin) Castillo of Santa Fe; six grandchildren, Brenton Rogers, Justin Farris, Brittany Rogers, Byran (Rachel) Farris, Albert (Angel) Scribner, III, Rebecca (Jason) Parr; four great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her son, Albert Myles Scribner, Jr. and three brothers, Baxter Vaughan, Edward Vaughan and Howard Vaughan. Pallbearers will be Byran Farris, Brenton Rogers, Albert Scribner, III, Allen Rogers, Al Curry, Justin Farris and Tony Sowell. Honorary pallbearers will be Mr. and Mrs. William Pulley, Mr. and Mrs. J.B. Lamar, Mr. and Mrs. George Ensley, Mr. and Mrs. Farris Taylor, Dr. Thomas Dake, Dr. Gibran Naddy, Dr. James Fitts, Jr., Mr. Lee "Hoss" Jones, and staff at Life Care of Tullahoma.
