MRS. PEARL DALE Mrs. Lillie Pearl "Maw Maw" Holt Dale, 90, long-time resident of the Williamsport Community, was called to rest by God on Tuesday, November 18, 2003. Funeral services will be conducted at12 noon Friday at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home with Brother Ricky Cotton officiating. Burial will be in Cross Bridges Cemetery. The family will visit with friends Thursday from 2 p.m to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Cross Bridges Church Building Fund. Notes of sympathy may be sent to the family at www.oakesandnichols.com. The Maury County native was the daughter of the late Joe C. Holt and Sally Gray Holt. She was married for fifty-six years to Joe Thomas "Tack" Dale who preceded her in death July 1, 1986. She was a homemaker and member of Cross Bridges Baptist Church. Survivors include two sisters, Clara Lee Vandiver and Nettie Berry both of Columbia; seven grandchildren, Bonnie (Jerome) Clayton of Mt. Pleasant, David (Debra) Dale and Mike (Rhonda) Dale both of Williamsport, Jimmy (Brenda) Dale of Culleoka, Tommy (Detria) Dale, Eva Grace Lewis, and Carolyn Dale all of Columbia; ten great-grandchildren, five great-great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by two sons, J.W. "Bill" Dale and James "Bud" Dale; three sisters, Mary Lizzie Massey, Annie Mae Matlock, Beatrice Ingram; and two brothers, Floyd Holt and Jim Holt. Pallbearers will be Johnny Hill, Jimmy Hickman, Leroy Hill, Paul Keith Dale, Paul Nance, Sammy McCandless, Steven McCandless, Bobby Crigger, Kevin Eady and Jeff Eady. Honorary pallbearers will be Members of Cross Bridges Baptist Church and residents and staff of Columbia Care and Rehabilitation.
