Mrs. Lillie Virginia Johnson Minor, 88, retired sitter for the elderly and former resident of Brannon Court, went to be with the Lord Wednesday, October 24, 2007 at NHC Columbia. Funeral services will be conducted Saturday at 12:00 Noon at Oakes & Nichols with Rev. Donnie Kelley officiating. Burial will be in Polk Memorial Gardens. The family will visit with friends Friday from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. and after 11:00 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home. Notes of sympathy may be sent to www.oakesandnichols.com. The Maury County native was the daughter of the late George H. Johnson and Martha Louella Collins Johnson. She was a long-time member of Highland Avenue Church of God. Survivors include two daughters, Bessie (A. J.) McMeen, and Louise (Harold) Holt, all of Columbia; a brother, John Thomas (Doris) Johnson of Coumbia; six grandchildren, Deb (Steve) Patterson of Mt. Pleasant, Andy McMeen, Randy Sharp, Connie McMeen, Susan Sharp, all of Columbia, and Brent (Kim) Holt of Culleoka; seven great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, James Mickle Minor in 1983; a daughter, Martha (Jesse) Sharp; six sisters, Mamie Webb, Maysel Farmer, Mildred Bobo, Martha Hall, Sallie Hill, and Nannie Mai Luttrell; and a brother, Willie Paul (Lucille) Johnson. Her grandsons will serve as active pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers include Dr. Thomas Dake, Thomas and Dot Anderson, Ann Church, Renee Ritchie, Monroe McMeen and employees of Caris Health Care and NHC Columbia.
