Mrs. Lilly Foster "Billye" Cook, 98, widow of Harry T. Cook, Sr., died Saturday, December 18, 2004 at Maury Regional Hospital.Graveside services will be conducted Sunday at 3:30 p.m. at Rose Hill Cemetery with Rev. Buddy Roberts and Rev. Arch Warren officiating. Oakes & Nichols Funeral Directors are handling arrangements. A native of the Culleoka Community in Maury County, she was the daughter of the late Frances Collier Foster and Emmett V. Foster. She was a graduate of the Cincinnati Conservatory of Music at the University of Cincinnati, where she pursued her study of piano and the Dramatic Arts. While at the Conservatory, she was active in plays and radio and later taught speech and drama in Cincinnati.Mrs. Cook was a member and long-time supporter of Westmnister Presbyterian Church (formerly Garden Street Presbyterian), James K. Polk Memorial Association, Columbia Chapter, APTA, Tenasse Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution and Columbia Garden Club.She was preceded in death by her husband of over sixty years, Harry T. Cook, Sr.; her daughter, Anne Foster Cook Roberts and a grandson, Stephen Cook Roberts.Survivors include a son, H. Terry (Griffie) Cook, Jr. of Columbia; son-in-law, Kenneth L. (Delphine) Roberts of Nashville; four grandchildren, Mary Jane Cook (Jim) Parks of Columbia, Graham Cook Adams of Nashville, Kenneth L. (Susan) Roberts, Jr. of Nashville and Patrick H. Foster Roberts of Grosse Point, Michigan; four great-grandchildren, Mary Griffith Adams, Elizabeth Manning Adams, Elizabeth Foster Parks and Katherine Cook Adams. Mrs. Cook's family wishes to express appreciation for the loving care and concern offered by the Medical and Nursing Staff at Maury Regional Hospital during her illness and especially to Dr. Ben Gardner.
