Linda McKeel Barker

Mrs. Linda McKeel Barker, 63, widow of Billy W. Barker and a resident of Dimple Court, went to be with the Lord April 1, 2006 at Maury Regional Hospital. Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday at 12:00 Noon at Oakes & Nichols with Rev. Gary Bailey officiating. Burial will be in the Burwood Cemetery in Thompson Station. The family will visit with friends Sunday from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Monday from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Notes of sympathy may be sent to www.oakesandnichols.com. A native of Lawton, Oklahoma, she was the daughter of the late Floyd A. McKeel, Jr. and Rita Jernigan Pruitt. She was a member of Mooresville Pike Baptist Church. Survivors include a daughter, Melissa B. Edwards of Columbia; four sons, Gary (Gwen) Bailey of Culleoka, Michael (Trena) Bailey of Rally Hill, Glenn (Vinissa) Bailey of Burwood, Billy Jack (Jessica Lindsey) Barker of Burwood; a step-son, Tracy (Vickie) Barker of Burwood; sisters, Pam, Becky, and Shannon of Oklahoma; brothers, Terry (Susie) Pruitt of Columbia, Floyd A. (Shelia) McKeel, III of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; twelve grandchildren. Active pallbearers are Brandon Bailey, Chris Bailey, Brandon Edwards, Chris Carlton, Kevin Howell, Tim Bailey, Rick Cline, and Allen Harris. Honorary pallbearers include Austin Barker, Randy Stewart and members of Mooresville Pike Baptist Church.
