Linda Jane Rose Young

Linda Jane Rose Young, 69, died Monday, December 17, 2018 at her residence in Shelbyville. Funeral services will be conducted Saturday at 1:00 P.M. at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home with Don Rose officiating. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery. The family will visit with friends Friday from 4:00 – 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Condolences may be extended online at www.oakesandnichols.com. Born May 7, 1949 in Maury County, she was the daughter of the late Ernest Merrell Rose and the late Carlyne Beckenbach Rose. Mrs. Young was a member of Williamsport Baptist Church and enjoyed fishing and arts and crafts. Survivors include her husband, whom she married February 5, 1996, Tony E. Young of Shelbyville; daughters, Lynn Hickman (Argimiro Guzman), Donda “Sissy” (Laurie) Riggins; son, Derrell “Bubba” Lee; grandchildren, Nathaniel (Gwen) Harrington, Jason (Melissa) Smith, Brittany Hardison; great grandchildren, Hanah Smith, Lisa Smith, Robert Smith, Haley Hardison, Candice Hardison, Judy Smith; brother, Don (Joyce) Rose; sisters, Vera Allen, Merrellyn McCormick; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her sister, Christine Riddle; and brother, Jim Rose. Active pallbearers will be Tony Davis, Jason Smith, Josh Cooper, Harold Richardson, Jr., James Young, Eugene Young, and Blake Hardison.
