Mrs. Linda Hood LaCroix, 59, employee of Southeastern Shirt Corporation in Mt. Pleasant and resident of Bear Creek Pike, died Friday, August 18, 2006 at St. Thomas Hospital. Funeral services will be conducted Monday at 2:00 p.m. at Oakes & Nichols with Jack White and Ewing Neelley officiating. Burial will be in Jones Cemetery. The family will visit with friends Sunday from 2:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to New Lasea Church of Christ, 1570 Lasea Road, Columbia 38401. She was preceded in death by her husband, Bobby Norris LaCroix, October 28, 2003, her father Buford Hood, and brother, Howard Hood. Survivors include a daughter, Kim (John) Waldrum of Columbia; a son, Robert Thomas (Terri) LaCroix of Petersburg, Kentucky; her mother, Elizabeth Love Hood of Columbia; sister, Paulette (Dwight) Shouse of Florence, Kentucky; brothers, Larry Hood of Nashville, Freddie (Hope) Hood, and Marvin Hood of Columbia; grandchildren, Kaitlyn Paige Waldrum, Johnathon Colby Waldrum, Landin Norris LaCroix, Zoey Nicole LaCroix; very special extended family, Missy Phillips, Ann Margaret Lasure, and Pam Lasure; several nieces and nephews. Active pallbearers are Brian Shouse, Chris Burgess, Doug Wright, Beau Keeling, Blair Keeling, James Waldrum, and Sam King. Honorary pallbearers include members of New Lasea Church of Christ and co-workers at Southeastern Shirt Corporation.
