Linda Sue Stewart McCord

Linda Sue Stewart McCord, 62, retired employee of NHC Hillview and resident Todd Carter Road, died Saturday, April 2, 2016 at Maury Regional Medical Center. Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday at 1:00 P.M. at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home with Bobby Cates officiating. Burial will follow in Polk Memorial Gardens. The family will visit with friends Monday from 4:00 - 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Condolences may be extended online at www.oakesandnichols.com. Born December 4, 1953 in Maury County, she was the daughter of the late Herbert Edward Stewart and Hattie Elvie Patterson Stewart. Mrs. McCord enjoyed reading and spending time with here children and grandchildren. Survivors in her daughter, Tasha McCord Hanvy of Hampshire; son, Tony Wayne (Stacy) McCord of Columbia; grandchildren, Shawn McCord, Jesse McCord, Jon Anderson, Logan McCord, Jeremiah Anderson, Joey Anderson, Timmy Anderson, Dakota Hanvy, Brianna Hanvy, Kristen Schneider, Leigh-Ann Maxwell, Heather Bender; great grandchildren, Lyda McCord, Ava McCord, Owen Barker, Xoie Barker, Neeco McCabe, Kaelii McCabe, Zarryn McCabe, Jerry Schneider, Alexis Schneider, Major Yarbourugh, Jayden Maxwell, Jacob Chunn, Corbin Anderson, Mason Anderson, and Ben Anderson; one expected great great grandchild; sisters, Gail (James) King of Centerville, Rita (Kenny) Smith of Columbia; several nieces and nephews; special cousins, Carolyn Busby, "Sissy" Teresa Scott; and special friends, Melissa Watson, Glenda Rochester, and Darlene Thompson. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by great grandson, Dalton Anderson; sisters, Mary Ann (Mike) Hardison, Anita (Dwight) Slick; and brother, Larry (Beverly) Stewart. Family and friends will serve as active pallbearers.
