Mrs. Linda Faye Haywood Tomlin, 61, resident of Napier Drive, died Sunday, December 14, 2008 at Maury Regional Medical Center. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 P.M. Wednesday at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home with Howard Wright officiating. Burial will be in Spring Hill Cemetery in Spring Hill. The family will visit with friends Tuesday from 4:00 - 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Notes of sympathy may be sent to the family at www.oakesandnichols.com. The Maury County native was the daughter of the late Robert Lee Haywood and Hattie Mae Reaves Haywood. She had worked at Fun Tunnel, had operated Catfish Delight on Carmack Boulevard and Southern Catfish in Mt. Pleasant. She had also worked at Discount Tobacco Outlet on Nashville Highway. Mr. & Mrs. Tomlin served as foster parents for seventeen years, having fostered 117 children. Survivors include her husband, Larry Wayne Tomlin of Columbia; one daughter, Tammy Faye Tomlin of Columbia; two sons, LeRoy Wayne (Catherine) Tomlin and Richard Lucas, both of Columbia; two granddaughters, Shelene Tomlin and Karen Workman; one sister, Shirley Cooper of Columbia; two brothers, John Wayne (Doris) Haywood of St. Joseph, Missouri and Mike Haywood of Columbia. She was preceded in death by four brothers, William Haywood, Harold Haywood, Bobby Joe Haywood, and Clarence "Toodlum" Haywood. Pallbearers will be Richard Lucas, Korey Cooper, Bobby Joe Haywood, Jr. Hal Haywood, Danny Collins, Carlton Haywood, and Troy Haywood.
